Dragon Oath, also known as TLBB: Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils in Europe, is a free-to-play MMOPRG that has over 30 million global users as of June, 2009. It is developed by ChangYou.com Ltd, one of the top MMORPG developers and publishers in China based on the famous Chinese novel "Tian Long Ba Bu" (Tale of Eight Demigods).
Unlike most of other Free-to-Play MMORPGs, Dragon Oath adapts the original story line into diverse quests, game play and unique features that allows the users to interact with each other. In addition, the basic platform of the quests, features and game play are built to promote the community; allowing players to enjoy and play with friends with featured complex social system.

The game is set in ancient China and is based upon the mythology of the eight races of non-human deities described in Buddhist cosmology.
